Short Webinar: Creating a Learning Flow
In my first short webinar I demonstrated using a flow chart to transform a general learning design idea to specific learning sections. I taught a method of turning a training or teaching idea into a flow chart of learning elements. I adopted a practice scenario with a attendee-determined topic, learning objectives, and pre-determined requirements and restraints. I explained elements needed prior to creating a flow, tools for creating flows, and usefulness of the learning flow for building out learning content. A recording is provided here. For my short webinar, I did not produce a formal design document for planning. This webinar was planned and implemented using online discussions, instructor insight, and peer input.
Long Webinar: Getting Savvy with SmartBuilder (A collaborative hosting with Elisabeth Gallagher)
Elisabeth Gallagher and I co-hosted a software demonstration webinar outlining SmartBuilder. In the webinar, we went over the pros and cons of SmartBuilder, basic uses, basic functions, and demonstrated creating a rollover/rollout pop-up action. We adopted a practice scenario of two people, Joselin and Berry, who need to do a Lego training and need to pack the training bags. We built a training for them on how to pack the bags and go on their way. The goal was to get attendees interested in the free tool and consider alternatives to the large name content authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline. I have written blog posts on SmartBuilder. Check it out. A recording is provided here.
